It recounts the true story of Ben Ingram Jr., a wealthy Black landowner in 1918 Mississippi who fights to resolve a long-standing land feud with his wealthy white neighbor, risking everything to defend his rights. When Ingram kills his neighbor in self-defense, it ignites one of the era’s most sensational murder trials, ending with the unprecedented acquittal of Ingram by an all-white jury. Taking place during a time of rampant racial violence, RUNNING THE LINE is a rare, empowering Southern story that the world needs now more than ever.

COSMIC CAMPFIRE is a groundbreaking film, for full dome planetarium and IMAX theaters, with the particular intention of inspiring students of color to consider S.T.E.A.M. related careers. The goal of COSMIC CAMPFIRE is to reach hundreds of thousands of 4th, 5th and 6th grade students – particularly those in inner city and rural school districts – and give them a thrilling once-in-a-lifetime experience that will expand their horizons, spark new dreams and assist in transforming the trajectory of their lives. With an emphasis on the exciting world of Space Science, it will feature on-camera interviews with Astronauts, Astronomers, Astrophysicists and Engineers of color. The film will also highlight artists whose work is integral to the world of space science, including animators, graphic designers, architects, photographers and visual artists.

ARKEON PRODUCTIONS was founded by Schyleen Qualls in 2019 to support and foster content and environments which nurture the bonds between us and set the stage for artistic and intellectual collaborations which transcend cultural, generational and geographic boundaries.
